My Life in Koala Land Q&A

Good Day, Mate!! (A phrase usually meant to be slang from Australia meaning "Hello friend")

Yea, I am here in this Koala Land, Kangaroo Land, OZ land or whatever you wanna name it for almost 2 weeks, but I haven't seen neither koala bear nor kangaroos yet... ><

For those who are curious with those questions like, how long am I gonna stay here, what am I doing here, do I get a work permit/valid visa to be here etc etc... I am gonna take this chance, for once, to explain everything here in my blog. Cool? No? Fine.. whatever~



Question 1: Which part of Australia I am staying now?
Answer: Victoria, Melbourne!!

Question 2: How long will I be here? 
Answer: For now, I would say, at least 3 Years.

Question 3: Do I hold any VISA? What VISA?
Answer: Hell YES, I am not gonna illegally  jump ship in any other country (eventho I have the urge to do so). I love travels, and I doesn't wanna have any blacklisted record in my identity. So yea, I am holding a de Facto Dependent VISA (google it if you wanna know more about this VISA) valid for 3 years nominated under my boyfriend's VISA (work permit). And NO, we are not legally married yet. =)

Question 4: What am I gonna do here for the next 3 Years? 
Answer: My VISA allows me to work legally here in any parts of Australia, duh, I'm gonna get a job and at the same time, enjoy my life like how they enjoy their life here. =)  I wanna live differently as how I live in M'sia for the past 25years (in a good way of course). GET WHAT I MEAN? Well, you are forgiven if you don't~ *wink*

Question 5: Have you got a job? What job are you looking for?
Answer: I haven't got a job, to be accurate, I haven't START to find a job!! WHY? I need time to settle down?! Yes. One HUGE factor that holds me from going out to find a job is.... LANGUAGE!! Yea, I am not kidding!! You might be thinking, "it's just ENGLISH, I stayed in USA before, I went UK before, what so difficult?" well, that was what I thought too before I came, but now, I am talking about their HEAVY AUSTRALIAN's ENGLISH ACCENT!! In my 25years of life, I never felt that communication can be so hard until I came here. I cannot understand them most of the time when they talked to me in a long sentences. I have to pay 210% concentration to catch the "key-words" from their sentence and started to guess what they've just said. It is embarrassing to ask them to repeat again and again or to speak slowly, so I try to speak very slow, sort of "influence" them to slower down their "speed" in order to catch their words. It wasn't easy for me, and I felt really unpleasant because of this "communication barrier" I had here. =(  English was never my mother-tongue, and now with this "special slang" that just make things (me feel) even worse.

Question 6: I am cooking 3 meals a day, went market, do household work almost everyday, slowly transforming into a "yellow-skinned aunty, 黄脸婆" eh? 
Answer: Well, I would say, I am still the SAME, this kinda full-time so-called "housewife" job doesn't transform me into a Yellow-Skinned Aunty. Some of my besties keeps reminding me, a young lady at this generation who knows how to cook is a plus point, they said: "现代全能女性新标准：'上得了厅堂，下得了厨房", and I have made it my way, some said, it's blissful to know how to make good dishes for the love one. And of course, there some bad comments from others who has their own different perspective. But anyhow, we live for ourselves, we don't live to impress anyone. Me being a full time "现代女性" has only brought more joy into my life. "'Life is to be enjoyed, not endured' -- Gordon B. Hinckley.

Question 7: Do I have a goal? 
Answer: Put it in Subjective & Objective Goals.

Subjective Goal(s):

• Everyone's mindset of successful life is to earn a lot of money, own a lot of properties. However, my goal is to "Enjoy-Life". To enjoy life doesn't ONLY involve in dollars, for me, it's "you are ABLE to enjoy doing things that you love (with ZERO complain)". Yea, this goal is very subjective and abstract, it sounds simple and yet, hard to achieve. But, I can proudly say that, my boyfriend is the main asset that has bring me halfway through this goal already. Ying jie said, "you do not know how many people envious about your life, you are only 25 years old, and you are enjoying your life now (already) and not when you are 55 years old", her perspective and the way she looks at "life" always inspired me, and of course her 100% supportiveness helped me grow. 

Objective Goal(s): 

• Going GYM/Group Class everyday for at least an hour is a goal for me, it sounds silly, but, for a person who doesn't like exercise it's pretty hard/impossible. Well, exercise is not purely for slimming purpose, but for health as well. Medical fees here are not cheap, cannot afford to fall sick, eat healthy and stay fit is the only way to avoid getting sick. 

• I love to cook, because I love (good) food!! Making perfect dishes everyday is a goal for me!! Food presentation are quite important to me, I personally think that eating is not just the taste but "FEELing"~ Feels good and eventually the food will taste good. =) And, no one is born to be a good cook, I googled, I copied, I learned and I improvised it. Reason why I always love to post my food (creation) on Facebook/Instargram is to share my happiness + proud-ness, and seriously to be honest, who doesn't like to be praised anyway? Every single praise/comment from my viewer will significantly increased my levels of confidence, reinforced me to do more. And I love the feeling when my friends text me personally to ask for recipe (Ying jie somemore ask me to write a recipe book for her  XD), seriously I am more than happy to share!! =) 

• To own myself a cafe. My friend told me, I have came to the right country, Australia is a country that are flooded with Cafes. No doubt in Melbourne, you can simply walk into any random cafes on the street, and their coffee taste tremendously AWESOME. Never knew being a Barista could be that proud. Yea, LISTEN... Me as a 3 Years Psychology graduates... *shouted loudly* "I WANNABE A BARISTA!!" Okay?!  CHOI MEH?! 

• Travel Around The World. Teehee.... No further explanation required on this point. Everyone knows it well!! =D

Waaa, macam doing assignment!! 

Ermm.. SUPPOSE to be a short and simple blog, ironically, now become a long long grandmother story~  I think, that's about it for today!! (spent almost 2 hours to write these =.=)

Back to Janaury 10th, 2014

Was been assigned to be a "secret agent" for a proposal!!! 

Who is the main character of the story? Duh~ Not me!! -->>  The incredible couple who has the most 夫妻相 。。。。。

TADDAAA!!!!  Mr & Mrs. Teoh!!  (Vincent & Venus)

 

Mr Teoh asked me and Nic for help a month ago... Well, to be honest, i'm pretty honor to be asked to be the planner & witness of this precious once in a life time moment!! 

Mr Teoh was quite cincai, he accepted most of my ideas and let me 发挥 whatever I wanna do... *thumbsup*

We booked a 2 bedroom suite in Bukit Tinggi (French village) 

*I suggested this place, reason why?: I never been there before and I'm craving to go there quite sometimes alrdy*

So, it's kinda win win situation... Venue APPROVED!! 

I took half day leave, and we went up Bukit Tinggi after our lunch~ 

That's when I started my DRAMA!! (Pretend to be SICK!!)  You do not know how suffering it is for me for NOT TALKING the whole 2 hours journey up to Bukit Tinggi... Hiding in the room wait for the main character (Venus) to be brought out by Vincent for a short walk!!!  

Very excited yet worried that the lies might be exposed!! 

Anyway, things go well~ 

Once Venus left the room... Me and Nic start our work!! 

At first was kinda kelam-kabut as.... I NEVER expect the room can be so HUGE and the ceiling can be SOOOOOOOOOO HIGHHHHH!!!  

On the spot, the decoration plan has to be changed immediately due to the out-of-expectation room design!!

We were running up and down, blowing balloons (the brain nearly run out of oxygen), decorate their room with rose petals & chocolate, candles along the way from the main door up the stairs towards their rooms, sticking all the notes which I have wrote few weeks ago and the photos as well~  

See, thats the making of the photos and notes, 2 weeks before the actual proposing date!! ^^

** PS: If only Vincent REMEMBER to bring my bike air pump (which he purposely came to my house and get it from me a week before the date), Nic could have done the balloon easier without having migraine due to lack of oxygen!! XDXD**

After 1 and a half hours (i think), we have done it **sweat like mad**.... I wasn't really satisfy with the outcome, but with the last minute changes and lack of resources, I 勉强 accept it... 

** The diamond banyak BESAR!! **

DingDong~!! Venus press the door bell (I think) XD

and the awkward moment, I tot she will open the door herself, and she tot I will open for her!! We waited for at least30seconds...................................... end up, I opened it!! LOL

And she got scared!! Cuz the room was dark with only candles light and the cacat music from redFM (Nic forgot to change to those love songs specially chosen by Mr. Teoh =.=)

Anyway... continue...

I asked Venus to come in... and lead her the way... =)

She read the notes one by one... (I hope she read.. 本小姐我，写(抄)到很辛苦 okay)

And... her precious tears... Aaawww~~~ *最爱看人家感动落泪* ^^

and......... slowly up the stairs....  then to the room!!! 

The Ring Box (without ring) was on the bed, she will have to open it herself... 

A paper written "You have given me your heart, I will give you my everything" (<------  iishhh, lame!!! It suppose to be "You have given me your heart, so as a return, I give you my surname. Mrs Teoh, will you marry me?")  **celaka Mr.Teoh tak mau ikut saya!!** anyway, dia punya proposal, apa apa dia suka boleh la... =P

Then... Mr Teoh give Venus a paper (questionnaire) to be answered.... (Another awkward moment, where he used a VERY GENG double-sided tape to stick the paper and he used another 30 seconds to open up the paper to show Venus =.=") That waiting moment is kinda awkward!! 

Yea... Tats the paper I m talking about.... (Proposing like a BOSS) XDXD

And......... He knee down ... he say something... which i dono what is he saying (too soft) but i guess is something like.. u know..... love love... be my wife... those kinda thing la... TOO SHORT to be able to captured/remembered what is he talking about...!!!!!! And I was in the mist of taking video record at this very moment!! Too busy to multitask... >< 

（看到没有，这个是 no filter 幸福满满的微笑拥抱 tsk tsk tsk.. 太感人了~）手上还拿着笔leh~ XD

And they hug and hug and hug.... and they kissed.... then.................. 18SX (kkkk hahhaha jkjkjk) 

Tadaaa.... 大功告成！

见证这对可爱的情侣成为夫妻，荣幸到爆炸啦 okay~ 连自己都想哭了~!!! 

他们的感情多快八年了~  就快办婚礼啦~！！ 期待期待！！

谁还信七年之痒这个鬼道理，自己贪新厌旧就承认吧~ I believe in effort and the willingness to make it up when things went wrong~ 

突然发现，身边一大堆朋友求婚，订婚，结婚了~

渐渐发现自己已经步入适婚年龄的阶段了~ 不再是以前跟随父母参加那些姨妈姑姐的婚礼了

wa wa wa,,... 这是 peer pressure 吗？kkkk... 

Well well, no pressure for me yet at the moment, I am enjoying the current status I have now, and of course being open minded with whatever changes it's going to be~ =)

A blink of eyes...　It's Year 2014

And... I've touched... a quarter century old!!

My Goodness.. I'm getting OLD~!!  

kkk.. anyway... 

Year 2013 has treated me pretty good... I am very glad...

It was a year that full of joy, excitement, appreciation... Laughter more than tears... 

Let's recap what have I gone thru last year 2013...

* I celebrated 2 times Birthday in a year

January 2013 - My baby gave me a secret trip to Singapore

December 2013 - I followed him back to his hometown and my Bday dinner treat @ Victoria Station

We got ourselves a couple watches for our Bday this year.. =)  

And.... I got the most precious Bday gift ever in my life.... Photobook designed by my baby....

Every single words he wrote... Every single picture he chose... Every seconds he spent on this book... Touches my heart truly madly deeply~  

I love presents that are full of effort... This precious gift contains more than 120% of effort in it... I'm blessed to have him... 

And not to mention, a surprise X'mas prezzie chose by him... 

My favourite Soap & Glory product!! Cant deny that he really knows me well~ 

Heee.. He is my boyfriend for a (many) reason.. =D

He gave me my 小红帽 on March as our Anniversary gift... ^^ Another precious gift by him!!

The whole December 2013 was a money spending month.. however... it was also a gifts receiving & celebration month!!

Actually, how many people in this world understand it/can do it? 

We have been living in a so-called competitive era, human being tend to compete with others to scale their capability, and there goes with jealousy, hates and depressed etc.... 

Fortunately, I'm glad to say, I have a few of them in my life already!! (you know who you are)  I'm so blessed!!

Simply because, I am that kinda friend too... =)

I Believe I Can Fly

I realized...

I'm not only passionate on Travels...

I'm also a person who has the fullest passionate to share my travelling experience and knowledges to whoever is interested to travel...

I feel so lively when I talk about travel... Especially those places that I have been to...

I had a friend who is planning to go for a year end vacation to either New York, Vegas or Italy with her boyfriend for X'mas & New Year celebration...

Coincidently, I have been to thiese 3 places, and without hesitating I gave her my 2 cents worth..

Of course... my choice would be LAS VEGAS!! ^^  CLICK HERE 

Despite on the airfare.. In Vegas...

Eat CHEAP, Buy CHEAP, Stay CHEAP!! Whatelse you can compare to?

I share so much to her about Vegas.. But gave so much negative feedback on NEWYORK.. XD

and end up... She chose Vegas!! (Somehow I can be quite persuasive) =X  

And she said: "Liggy, after talking to you, I feel like crowning you as Vegas Tourist Ambassador!!!" XDXDXDXD This is the funniest description ever!! But Hey, u know what.. I love it!!

Having said that.. Don't you think that is (one of) the purpose of travelling???

Travel is not all about having fun/relaxing but is about gaining knowledges... and of course not to mention, be humble and generous to share your knowledge/experience to everyone.. 

I think.. this feeling is GREAT!!

Question: So guys, guess what is my biggest dream now? 

Answer: Travelling as much as I can (around the world) till I'm 6 feet underground with no regrets... 

I am addicted to travel... What say you?  =)

Cherating, Kuantan Trip

Last Saturday...

We had a runaway from city trip to Cherating, Kuantan.

After my 25years of life... It was my very first time going to the right side of our West Boleh-land~ XD Shame on me... 

So yea.. To cut the story short...
To begin the journey!!
We departed early in the morning, headed to Bentong for Yong Tau Fu... & Curry Mee!!

Then... We continue our journey to Cherating!! =)

Well... before that, most of my friend knows that I am never a beach lover... Partly because of the SUN and the sticky body due to the sea wind...
And I always wonder why do people loves beaches that much...

So I took this chance to "experience" beach-ing, see if I could have a different kinda view this time... Not very excited but LOOKING FORWARD.. (Get what I meant?) nvm...

And TADA... after 3 hours.... We REACHED!!

This beach doesnt disappoint me after all... It's much better than what I expected!! At least, It's clean and most importantly.... Not so crowded.. (I personally doesnt like crowded place) so everything is just nice...

Nice for us to hang around, holding hands, walking along the beach, sitting on the beach, get a breath of fresh air on the beach... (romantic dont you think so? kkk)

Surprisingly, I enjoyed it a lot... Pretty relaxing~ *thumbs up* 

No BIG SUN  =D  Great.. His mission kinda fail tho.. XD (Mission = make my skin dark!!) =p

Good & Sad that it started to rain before we manage to view the sunset.. =(

So we headed back to our room and decided to start our own Private IN-HOUSE Steamboat earlier!! ^^

I've booked a RM600 Ocean-view Grand-Deluxe Room @ The Legend Resort!!

Hmm... The room wasnt that bad BUT if compare to the price we have paid, it's just not so worth it... 

Anyway ~~~

Some RANDOM thought...

I would say, my boyfriend is an incredible good planner when comes to trip!!  He prepared all the foods, basket, ice-box, induction cooker, pot, cutlery all in order for the steamboat!! Super well planned!! I was pretty amazed.. no joke!

And the best part is.... I DID NOTHING!!
 =X

I know right~ Imma like a pampered princess!! Well, that's my 福气 of having him as boyfie... =P

So, we eat eat eat!!

The feeling is really great, I never thought having steamboat at such environment can be that fun!! 

After steamboat, we did some reading and continue with our BEER & supper!! 

We bought some stim Keropok Lekor (thier local must-eat food) as our beer snacks  =)  Perfect match, Yes No?!! Oh well.. Who cares.. We Happy ^^

Oh yaa... Almost forgot!! 

We went to watch Sea Turtle too!! It's really HUGE and cutteee... ^^  Especially the baby black turtle.. 

Believe it or not.. Its an eye opener trip for me... REALLY!! =X

Secretly wish that I cold have one baby turtle as a pet too... Kkkk... TOO much Liggy.. Too much!! 

  

The next day 6am we woke up early in the morning to catch Sunrise!! (My first time as well.. I think..)

Sitting on the bench in the beach waiting for sunrise with cooling air flashing on your face... the feelings is simply way too awesome!! I'm loving it~

Too bad, we wasn't that lucky, maybe due to raining season, the sun is too shy to show himself.. Keep hiding behind the thick cloud... 

Of course.. a MUST-NOT-MISSED Jumping-Photoshoot with Heart shape posture to end my Sunrise view session... It was still a beautiful scenery no doubt!!!

Boyfie then continue with his easy run on the beach while I headed back to the room for a nap.. =X

After breakfast in the hotel (their breakfast... so so only ><).. We went to the so-called famous Hoi Yin Curry Mee @ Telok Chempedak for lunch...  Just because it's located at the most happening public beach area... Hmm... I personally think it's over-rated!!

And so.. we ended our short runaway weekend simple trip here...

I enjoyed this trip a lot because I am with you, you are my great companion as always... 

As long as you're holding on to my hand, I promised I will stick with you forever~
